Judge LeDuc and Clerk the Macomb County Clerk offer Clerk Mobile Office and foreclosure prevention services at District Court

Judge Denis LeDuc, 42-I District Court in Romeo, will host the Macomb County Clerk / Register of Deeds and her mobile office services on Thursday, October 15th from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the 42-I District Court at 14713 - 33 Mile Road, Romeo, MI, just West of Powell Road.

The Macomb County Clerk is also partnering with MSU Extension (MSUE) to bring county services closer to residents in the north end of the County.

Macomb County’s MSUE office will send a foreclosure prevention intake specialist to provide information on the Step Forward Michigan program which assists struggling homeowners avoid mortgage and property tax foreclosure. Eligible homeowners may also benefit from foreclosure prevention counseling with a MSHDA-certified housing counselor. For more information visit MiMoneyHealth.org or StepForwardMichigan.org.

Clerk’s office staff will be available for Macomb County birth and death certificates, business registrations, marriage licenses, circuit court records, voter registration, concealed pistol license applications and veteran ID cards and the register of deeds staff will be available for Macomb County property records.

“We are very pleased to host the Clerk’s Office here at the Court Building and to assist in bringing these essential services much closer for citizens of the North end of our County,” said Judge LeDuc. Judge LeDuc also stated that the Court’s shredders will be made available for citizen use on the 15th as well.

Clerk’s office services are only for Macomb County records. Regular fees are:

Birth, death, marriage or business record, certified copy $15 for first copy
$5 each additional copies of same record
Business registration $10 for filing, includes two certified copies
Marriage license application $20 Michigan residents, $30 out-of-state
Concealed pistol license application fee $105 for application
$15 additional for E-photo
Real estate recordings $14 first page, $3 each additional
Real estate documents, 
certified copies
Minimum of $6: Add 50 cents per year if search includes more than 10-year search and add $1 per page of record
Circuit court documents Regular copies: $1 per page
Certified copies: $10 plus $1 per page
Notary public applications $10
Veteran photo ID card $10
