Elections

The Election Department is responsible for overseeing the printing and distribution of election ballots and conducting national, state, and county elections. The canvass of votes in state, county, local, and school district elections is under the jurisdiction of the County Clerk.​​​​​

2021 ANNUAL STATEMENTS DUE SOON…

Close of Books:  December 31, 2021

Due:  January 31, 2022 by 5:00 p.m.

 

All committee types (Candidate Committees, PACs, and Ballot Question Committees) must file an Annual Statement unless exempted for a reason listed below:

Annual Statement Exemptions:

  • A committee with the Reporting Waiver
  • A committee that was required to file a 2021 Post-General statement
  • An officeholder whose salary is less than $100 per month AND whose committee had no activity (contributions or expenditures) during the period covered by the Annual Statement.  (A written statement of eligibility is required to be filed with us.)

Statements are due by 5 p.m. on the deadline and can be mailed or delivered to the Macomb County Election Department, 32 Market Street, Mount Clemens, MI  48043 or emailed to elections@macombgov.org.
