Leadership Macomb gears up for its 19th session
“Leadership Macomb was undoubtedly the most enriching, engaging and high-yield educational experience I’ve had to date. It was truly life-changing, both personally and professionally.”
-Melissa Gladieux-Jackson, Henry Ford Health Systems and LM XIV graduate
Founded in 1996, Leadership Macomb is a 501(c)(3) organization that educates area leaders about the people, systems and organizations that support and sustain our community. It inspires its graduates to be engaged in civic leadership as a way of strengthening organizational and community relationships. Since its founding, more than 650 individuals have participated, representing more than 150 organizations.
Each year, the program accepts 45-50 decision makers from a variety of private and public organizations. Eleven full-day sessions are held between September and May where participants learn about important community systems including health, law, education and government through guest speakers, visiting places of interest and engaging in interactive exercises.
The program boasts many successful and influential graduates. “One of the most important things you’ll take away is the connection you’ll make with people,” said County Executive Mark A. Hackel (LM II). “The program challenges you to learn not only about the county, but also about yourself, your role in effecting positive change and the importance of being involved.”
Leadership Macomb will host a free informational breakfast for those interested in learning more about the program and application process:
